That's not 'reasonable' or 'logical', you're just being dismissive. While being dismissive may be the logical course in an ulterior motive (i.e. one NOT relating to this thread), the most logical course within that same train of reasoning would simply be to not respond to this thread. But since you didn't do that, I assume you're either stupid, or just like agitating people.
And to the OP, all I can really say is trade the damn things. :/

i have only ever gotten white minipets, and that is across nine characters, so: boo hoo. I feel your pain. Like others have said, hey, its free, and you can even sell the white minipets. At least you used to be able to. I sold all mine and now await 2nd year ones very soon. Fully expect white ones.

Yeah, but from a sales perspective, new is all that matters. I plan on selling all of mine.

They need to change the system so that characters with high amounts of XP (showing they play the char a lot) have better chances of getting a rare pet. My first char who I've played A LOT got a wind rider on the 2nd bday, which was also the 2-year anniversary of GW. A few weeks later I logged onto my friend's account who gave up on the game after a couple months, isn't even level 20, and has a grand total of 30 hours of play time, and he got a Lich. I'm not complaining since I got to sell the Lich, but it just doesn't seem right.

I don't think that'll work.
You could farm with one char and get loads of xp, but play it a lot less than your all others.

both my canthans, who got their 1sts on the same day, got jades
we can call each other whiners or ingrates or whatever, but the heart of the matter is the random number generator which seems to get stuck on certain numbers more than it should

3.7mil xp on my sin.
620 hours logged on my sin alone.
Given away greens, golds and other stuff for free to friends, guildies and even strangers alike.
Birthday Mini? Fungal Wallow. In a sense, its fitting, since no one likes Sins anyways (but still better than Mesmers!), but you would THINK that ANet would come up with a system slightly better than what they've got.
I mean, my teenage brother could program a better algorithm for a number generator that took into account vast numbers of variables to produce more "appropriate" results, compared to what I've seen in this game.
And when are people going to stop lambasting others for their opinions? This is a discussion forum, where people come to voice their opinions. The "leave if you don't like it" policy so many members seem to have is quite... well, retarded, given the environment.

Three of them had the same damage range (13-20), but different gold values.
Weird. Something seems wrong.

What's a more appropriate result than a fungal wallow? Your stating of your XP and playtime implies that you believe more time spent -> rarer mini.
